Keeping your software up to date is hugely beneficial in the fight against cyber baddies.  Where you can, enable auto-updates on your device. 

A great way of doing this is to regularly restart your device. Create a habit of restarting your device once a week. This will help enforce those software updates. 

Saying this, some devices and software do need to be updated manually. For these, you will receive reminders on your phone or computer. Please, do not ignore these reminders and install them as soon as you are able to.
