Cyber Essentials is a government-backed certification
that protects your organisation from the most common
cyberattacks. There are five basic controls to enforce:
> Use a firewall to secure your Internet connection
> Choose the most secure settings for devices & software
> Control who has access to your data & services
> Protect yourself from viruses & other malware
> Keep your devices & software up to date
To become certified you must demonstrate to an assessor how you comply with the control areas listed above. We can help ensure you meet the required standard, assess your compliance and issue your certificate upon passing.
To achieve Cyber Essentials Plus you must first certify to
Cyber Essentials and then undergo a technical assessment to ensure your controls are effective against real-world threats. These assessments include:
> Internal vulnerability scan
> External vulnerability scan
> User Access Controls test
> Web browser check
> Email blocker check

Both standards expire 12 months after certification.
To achieve CE Plus, you need to have been certified to Cyber Essentials within the previous three months.
