“Cyber Security Team of the Year 2026”: Evalian’s award wins & shortlists
It’s been a busy period of growth again for our team over the past few months. Not only have we grown across the business and added further certifications, such as ISO 22301 and CREST accreditation for our Security Operations Centre (SOC), but we’ve been shortlisted and named winners for various prestigious awards across the compliance and cybersecurity space.
That momentum reflects what we’re seeing more broadly. The threat landscape is getting harder to manage, attacks are more targeted, more persistent, and often designed to exploit gaps between compliance, operations and real-world response. At the same time, regulatory pressure is increasing, particularly with the rollout of NIS2, which is raising the bar for organisations well beyond traditional critical infrastructure.
As a result, the work we’re doing is expanding across sectors, such as cybersecurity for finance, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, legal and many more. While our recent award recognition was based on programmes delivered for large energy providers, the same challenges are now showing up across many industries. Organisations are under pressure to demonstrate resilience, not just compliance on paper. As a result, our team is seeing more of a demand for incident response support, realistic simulation exercises, and ongoing operational security that can stand up under scrutiny.
It’s a shift from static compliance to active readiness, and it’s shaping the kind of work we’re delivering every day, which is why these awards are meaningful to us, and serve as a reflection of the engagements with our clients.
Cyber Security Team of the Year 2026 – Global Cyber Security Awards
We’re proud to have been named winners of Cyber Security Team of the Year as well as being finalists for the category of Cyber Security Service of the Year at the 2026 Global Cyber Security Awards, recognising the work delivered with two large global energy suppliers.
The projects were not simple tick-box compliance exercises. They required our cyber and compliance teams to work together on complex UK NIS requirements, in a critical national infrastructure sector where resilience, assurance and practical risk reduction really count.
Being recognised for that work shows the depth of expertise across the team, and the impact we’re having for clients operating in high-pressure, highly regulated environments.
Shortlisted for Compliance Team of the Year – Picasso Awards Europe 2026
We’ve been shortlisted for Compliance Team of the Year at the PICCASO Awards Europe 2026, which recognise excellence across privacy, compliance and information governance.
The shortlist is another strong reflection of the work being delivered by our compliance team as regulatory expectations continue to increase. Much of that work goes beyond interpreting requirements on paper. It means helping organisations understand what compliance looks like in practice, embedding it into day-to-day operations and building programmes that can adapt as regulations, risks and business priorities change.
To be recognised alongside other leading compliance teams is a welcome acknowledgement of the expertise, commitment and practical approach our team brings to client engagements.
Shortlisted for Compliance Firm of the Year – ICA Awards Europe 2026

Our entry focused on the work delivered over the past 18 months with two multinational energy providers. Both programmes are centred on UK NIS compliance, where expectations have shifted quickly alongside a more aggressive threat landscape.
Sean Huggett, our CEO at Evalian, put it simply:
“Being shortlisted is an achievement in itself, and down to the quality and commitment of the Evalian team behind the work. Both projects were focused on UK NIS compliance, with the need to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements in the energy sector, where compliance requirements have tightened whilst the threat landscape has expanded”.
Finalists at the 2026 UK Cyber OSPAs

The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) were set up to recognise and reward companies, teams and individuals across the security sector based on proven performance. They started in the UK in 2016 and have since grown into a global programme, with events now running across multiple countries and regions, including a dedicated track for cyber security.
What sets the OSPAs apart is their focus on independent judging and measurable outcomes. Entries are assessed by industry experts against clear criteria, with an emphasis on evidence, ethics and impact rather than reputation or size. Over time, they’ve built a reputation for being one of the more credible awards in the security industry, largely because of that consistent, transparent approach to judging.
To be shortlisted for the cyber OSPAs was an achievement in itself, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to have been considered alongside other reputable organisations.
