Introduction

This document is Evalian’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.

Evalian (‘the Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) is committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.

As an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to creating a non-discriminatory and respectful working environment for our staff. We want all our staff to feel confident that they can expose wrongdoing without any risk to themselves.

Our recruitment and people management processes are designed to ensure that all prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the UK and to safeguard employees from any abuse or coercion.

We do not enter into business with any organisation, in the UK or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to be involved in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

Our Structure

Evalian is a data protection and security services provider, operating from within the UK. We specialise in data protection and compliance, GDPR services, information security, penetration testing and ISO certification consultancy.

We work with organisations of all sizes, working directly and through partners. Our smallest client has one employee, and our largest clients operate globally with offices in multiple countries.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chains are limited, we work with a small number of key direct suppliers who provide us with goods, such as equipment for our premises, and outsourced business processes and IT Software.

Policies

We have appropriate processes and policies in place to mitigate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our organisation and to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. All policies are available to all staff through our IMS and HR Systems.

These include, but are not limited to, the following –
• Anti-Corruption & Bribery Policy
• Ethics Policy
• Recruitment & Selection Policy
• Whistleblowing Policy
• Equal Opportunities Policy
• Harassment & Bullying Policy

Due to the nature of our business and the policies we have in place, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

Supporting Our People

We are committed to maintaining an honest and ethical culture, ensuring all new employees are subject to pre-employment checks to confirm their identity and right to work in the UK.

From the point of induction, our employees are made aware of our anti-bribery and ethics policies and zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We have also outlined our Whistleblowing procedures and guidance on harassment & bullying within our Staff Handbook.

We treat all our employees in a fair, lawful and professional manner and provide for fair working conditions, including ensuring awareness of their statutory rights, including health and safety, holiday entitlements and other benefits they may be entitled to.

Compliance

This Modern Slavery Statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities for the financial year ending 31st July 2025.

It has been approved by the Board and was signed on their behalf by Sean Huggett, CEO.
